driving home from NKU on I-471 to 71 75 South via Cincinnati. Driving absurdly slowly (50 MPH) and hypermiling.Looking backwards and to the left (to see all the tailgaters and speeders LOL).Forwards view coming soon.I got 49.8 mpg in a Toyota Echo (EPA: 29 37) on that trip and I regularly average in the high 40's or low 50's when I gas up.For additional hypermiling tips please email me at scramar@gmail.com

The funny thing is to watch how long they'll stay back there, right behind you. I always wonder why they don't pull around and pass??

Do you have $23,000+? I don't. Like I said, I wish I did.

I don't know how hard it is to get them in Ohio, but here in TN they're at all the dealerships!!! Buy one now and reclaim your pride!!!!

Yes but remember, the environmental lobby has made it almost impossible for new and affordable diesels to enter the market. Diesels are far more efficient than gasoline engines, esp. at highway speeds because of better torque at the most common rpm levels. If I had the money you can be damned sure I'd be doing 75 MPH like before with a Jetta diesel. And getting 50 MPG and being perfectly happy with it.

What a waste, i get 33 mpg in my E-320 CDI Mercedes doing 120mph. I don't have time to waste dickin around in the slow lane in some little econo shit box taking forever and a day just to get to one appoinment. Sure diesel costs more than 91 octane but only by 10 cents. And when you're able to maximize your time to get more done you're saving even more money. plus diesels last forever!!! my other diesel merc has 800,000 miles on it and been to the shop 1 time just to show them i wasn't lying ;)

That's nothing--this video was made when gas was nearly $3.50 per gallon. Imagine now with it being ~2.40 in this area (as of today) :(

Then maybe some of you need to leave earlier instead of speeding like a jackass.

Some of us have places to be. Get rid of your car and really fight back.
