Like your engine experiment- You have cut this engine in half which I have not seen done before- can it still be mounted on a VW trans-axle? Also, did you actually run it on a test stand and get verification of the fuel savings you stated??

take the 4 and make 2 cylinders steam injected with individual diesel pumps from small motors, this way you still have 4 cylinder with full compression |
